The hunter Braega is deathly ill, tainted by The Hall of Black Trees, and his little lizardman companion, Tudhala is worried, being unable to help him. Seemingly miraculously, a mysterious woman happens upon then, offering to help. She holds many secrets though and it remains to be seen whether they can trust her to save Braega.
