WELCOME TO PURE ESCAPISM
Pure Escapism is a collection of fictional short and serialised stories, drawn from a myriad of worlds and made available as regularly as possible.
WHAT IT IS ABOUT
The stories are much as the title suggests; pure escapism. They aim to mostly be in the manner of the pulps of old, tales of action and adventure and wonder; not high literature but a fun read.
WHAT IS IN IT
The majority of the stories are fantasy in nature, but even they vary in style and genre. Others venture into the realms of science fiction and urban fantasy.
Many of them belong to a number of series; some of those series belong to a core setting and at times can touch on each other, while other series are independent. There are also some that are stand alone fiction.
The works are available in PDF form, and can be freely distributed, but note that all the works are Copyright of the author and can not be reproduced, altered, claimed or sold.
Most are also available to download through Smashwords in other formats besides PDFs.

can’t wait for cara’s choice part six!
I can’t wait for it either.
Oh wait, I’m the author – I’d better go write it then.
Hey dude. I suppose the last thing you need is a collaboration proposal right now. I’ve been kicking around an idea of bringing Brian and Ray to Perpetual Twilight for a free Smashwords short story eBook. Shoot me an email and let me know what you think of this. I was thinking since you’re busy I could write most of it and you could tweak the Brian/Ray dialog and we could each publish it, maybe call it ‘Perpetual Ray’. Don’t know how the publishing part of it would work on Smashwords actually. I have the first page already written, if you’re interested in seeing it.
I’ve never really considered a collaboration idea so have no idea if it would make things easier or harder. Easier is always the preferred way – if it saves me time to work on other things thats a bonus.
On the About page there is a link to an email address – drop a line through that and we’ll see how it goes.
I sent the first 3 pages of ‘Perpetual Ray’ to qorvus, but failed to include an outline or even a plot idea. The plot goes something like this: After the first assault of the Maddox Maimers led to 5 Maimers dead at the hands of a mother and daugther from a far away town, the Maddox Maimers launch a new assault, a series of attacks, all across Yellow Valley. Unfortunately for the Maimers, Brian and Ray chance to be at every area of attack. Once again, the Maddox Maimers are defeated. And, once again, Ray is awesome.
